This is a working singing bowl in the truest sense of the word, made to be played not only displayed, though it will certainly shine in that regard.

Forged and engraved in Northern India, this eight-inch bell bronze bowl comes from a small, deliberate run of just seven pieces for the Winter 2025. 

The exterior is fully hand-engraved with classical geometric and floral motifs. The engraving is disciplined and symmetrical. 

Inside, a centered mandala anchors the visual field. It draws the eye inward rather than outward, reinforcing the bowl’s grounded character. 

Sound Character (My Listening Analysis)

On strike, the bowl produces a clear, centered fundamental with a calm invitation to sing. 

The sustain is long, even, and coherent. Overtones emerge gradually rather than all at once, stacking in a stable way that feels beautiful.

When played on the rim, the sound builds patiently. And holds. And shines uppwards in the 4th+ octave.
